PEDIATRIC PEARLS OF WISDOM - an advanced safety course for caregivers
Parents, guardians, and caregivers who take care of children face constant challenges everyday in keeping them safe. Efforts on the professional front to prevent crimes, abuse, and tragic accidents involving children have not kept pace with the increasing vulnerability. Information presented in this session will provide you valuable tools for accident/abuse prevention to stop a possible injury or tragedy. A small sampling of topics to be discussed include child abuse, asthma, autism, allergies, SIDS, drowning, lawnmowers, drugs, the internet, toy safety, poisoning, traveling, and guns. This in-depth session will cover many other topics as well. PowerPoint and handouts will be included.

Rosalind is a health care provider from Wausau, WI. She possesses an extensive background of 20+ years in healthcare with an emphasis in trauma, pediatric emergencies, life flight transports, and anesthesia as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

A hands-on session covering the A-Z creation of a Professional Nanny Portfolio. Learn what it can do for you and how to best present it in a job application process. Examples will be shown. Uncover 10 common interviewing/job retainment mistakes nannies make and what “Nanny Mary” could have done to improve the outcome of the interview and beyond in example scenarios. This session has received superior ratings from nannies at other conferences!
Also to be covered in this session will be nanny/family work agreements, tax issues and legalities regarding household employees. At the 2007 PMN Nanny Day Out, this session received the highest ratings of the day!

Nettie is the founder of Perfect Match Nannies, Inc. Prior to opening the agency, Ms. Weber was a full-time nanny/home manager for over 6 years (and still continues to substitute as one) working for families ranging from the rural farm family to the high profile political family. Ms. Weber has been featured, photographed, and quoted in regional and national publications involving the nanny industry, has worked with families and childcare specialists across the country, and will be a presenter at multiple industry conferences in 2008. Ms. Weber is also part of the INAVision Quarterly Newsletter team, INA committees, and is a writer for CelebStaff Magazine.
